[NBA] [7-Unit] (583) Indiana Pacers -110 [ML] over Milwaukee Bucks (7:00PM EST) Giannis is listed as doubtful to play here based on multiple reports (sat out of live practice drills on Saturday). Milwaukee is just 45.7% ATS when Giannis is inactive, and 44.2% ATS since 2020 and lose almost 10 points per 100 possessions on the offensive end when he's on the bench. Bobby Portis will get more usage and that's not good news for the Bucks. In fact; Milwaukee are about the same offensively with Portis on the floor, but lose almost 5 points per 100 possessions on the defensive end. That is going to be a problem against the 2nd best offensive team in the league when adjusting for strength of schedule, especially considering the fact the the Bucks rank 18th defensively in terms of adjusted rating as it is. Let's also add that playoff home underdogs have only managed to cover at a 44.7% rate, which falls to 42.9% ATS in Game 1. The Pacers won three of four in the season series while hanging an average of 129.5 points per game. This is going to be extremely difficult on a Milwaukee team that only managed to score 113.1 points per game this season when Giannis was inactive.
